Organizing Secretary

Mr. Akanbi Oluwafemi is a human rights advocate of over two decades, an administrator, a certified mediator and has served in various capacity at HRGDS before his election to the post of Secretary-General in 2022, he served as the Coordinator Democracy and Good governance project, Director, People with Disabilities Rights Advocacy project committee . His extensive experience in human rights advocacy and grassroots mobilization drives the organization’s mission forward. Mr. Oluwafemi’s strategic vision and commitment to justice also empowers our organization in the pursuit of justice for the oppressed in our society, and he has remain resolute that every voice is heard and every individual is valued.

Comr. Onifade Dorcas is a foremost Human Rights and Gender advocate of over a decade, she is an investigator, mediator and a trainer.She is a former State Secretary at the Committee for the Defence of Human Rights CDHR Ogun , a former coordinator of CDHR and a member of many local and international network of Human Rights advocates. Her passion for human rights and her expertise in grassroots mobilization has contributed in no small measure to the membership growth and Development in the organization. Since her appointment as the Director of Membership Recruitment & Training at HRGDS, expansion of the organization’s network for committed members and providing them with comprehensive training programs has been very remarkable.

Mrs. Adebola Adeniji is a prominent figure in Nigeria’s civil society, serving as the Organizing Secretary of the Human Rights and Grassroots Development Society (HRGDS). In this pivotal role, she has become a key advocate for human rights and community development, bringing a wealth of experience and dedication to the organization.

As the Organizing Secretary, Mrs. Adeniji is responsible for coordinating various activities and programs aimed at promoting and protecting human rights at the grassroots level. Her duties involve planning and implementing initiatives that address issues such as social justice, gender equality, and community empowerment. She ensures that these programs are effectively executed and align with the society’s mission to uplift underprivileged and marginalized communities.
